Ipamorelin: A selective pentapeptide ghrelin mimetic. Chemical sequence: Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2 (Aib = 2- aminoisobutyric acid; D-2-Nal = D-2-naphthylalanine).
Both peptides are highly stable and designed for targeted stimulation of the pituitary somatotrophs.
Mechanism of Action
Sermorelin binds to the GHRH receptor (GHRHR) on pituitary somatotroph cells, activating adenylate cyclase, increasing cAMP, and triggering pulsatile release of endogenous growth hormone (GH). It preserves the physiological feedback loop via IGF-1, avoiding the supraphysiological GH spikes of exogenous recombinant GH.
Ipamorelin acts as a selective agonist of the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR-1a/ghrelin receptor) on pituitary cells, stimulating acute GH release through the phospholipase C pathway without significantly affecting cortisol, prolactin, ACTH, or appetite.
The combination produces additive or synergistic GH pulses: Sermorelin provides sustained GHRH-mediated stimulation, while Ipamorelin generates sharp, clean GH peaks. Administration Instructions
Wash hands and prepare a clean surface.
Attach a sterile needle.
Dial 12 clicks.
Clean injection site (abdomen or thigh) with alcohol swab.
Insert needle at 45-90° angle and inject slowly.
Withdraw needle, dispose safely, and cap the pen.
Rotate injection sites to minimize irritation.
Always inspect solution before use: Do not inject if cloudy, discoloured, or containing particles.
